There has been an update to VIA in December 2022. If you received your board before 2023 you will need to reflash the PCB with the updated fireware below.

• Load this json file under the “Design” tab. You might need to enable this tab in the “Settings” tab.
• On the “Configure” tab click the “Authorize device” button at the bottom.
• Select “Av4” in the pop-up box.
• You now have full control of your Av4.

If your PCB is no longer responding, it mostly likely has been reset and needs to be flashed.

• Install QMK Toolbox and install drivers from the prompt at first launch.

• Hold the Esc key while plugging in the USB cable to force reset the PCB.
• If done correct you will see “Atmel DFU device connected…” in QMK console.
• Open the hex file below in QMK Toolbox.
• Hit flash button and wait for the action to complete. You will see “Atmel DFU device disconnected…”.
• Now open VIA to control your PCB. If VIA does not see it, please be sure to load the json file above under the “Design” tab.
• If you continue to have issues please open a ticket on Discord.
